🧺 Materials
- a family photo or keepsake

📋 Instructions (parent)
- Explain that 'long ago' means a time before now, when mama and the grandparents were little.
- Look at a family photo or keepsake together and talk about who is in it in Spanish.
- Share a simple family story, tradition, or recipe passed down, like a holiday or a special meal.
- Compare then and now: ask how things were different when you or abuela were small.
- Have your child draw a picture of a favorite family tradition to keep and share later.
➕ Extension ideas
- Call a grandparent and let your child ask one question in Spanish about long ago.
- Cook a simple family recipe together and talk about who taught it to you.
