Objective: Child recognizes the U.S. and Mexican flags and names colors and symbols that are special to each country.
🧺 Materials
- paper
- crayons or markers (red, green, white, blue)
- optional small stick or straw
📋 Instructions (parent)
- Show or describe the United States flag and the Mexican flag and name the colors in Spanish.
- Talk about what symbols mean: the eagle on the Mexican flag and the stars on the U.S. flag.
- Let your child color or draw one flag, helping with the colors in Spanish.
- Tape the flag to a stick or straw and have a tiny parade around the house.
- Share a little about your family's heritage and why these symbols are special and worth being proud of.

- Listen to a Mexican folk song or 'Cielito Lindo' and wave the flag together.
- Look for flags and symbols around your town and name their colors in Spanish.
