🧺 Materials

  • the church around you
  • a quiet whisper voice

📋 Instructions (parent)

  1. Before Mass begins, whisper to your child that you will play a quiet counting game with your eyes only.
  2. Ask them to count, in Spanish, the candles (las velas) they can see near the altar.
  3. Next ask them to count the windows (las ventanas) along one wall.
  4. When they sit, kneel, and stand, whisper the action in Spanish: nos sentamos, nos arrodillamos, nos paramos.
  5. After Mass, ask which number was the biggest thing they counted and praise their quiet game.
