Objective: Child compares and describes amounts (more, less, full, empty) while measuring ingredients in Spanish.
🧺 Materials
- measuring cups and spoons
- flour, sugar, or other baking ingredients on hand
- mixing bowl
📋 Instructions (parent)
- Set out the measuring cups and the bowl on the counter.
- Let your child scoop and pour one ingredient, naming it in Spanish.
- Talk about whether the cup is lleno (full) or vacío (empty) as they fill it.
- Compare two amounts and ask which is más (more) or menos (less).
- Have your child stir and count the stirs in Spanish.
➕ Extension ideas
- Predict which will be heavier, a cup of flour or a cup of sugar, then feel both.
- Line up the cups from smallest to biggest and name the order in Spanish.
