Objective: Sort and classify objects into groups by a chosen attribute like color or size.
🧺 Materials
- a basket of clean socks or laundry
- the floor
📋 Instructions (parent)
- Dump the socks in a pile in the middle of the floor.
- Pick one attribute together, like color, and name a group for each color in Spanish.
- Sort every sock into its color group.
- Count how many are in each pile in Spanish and compare which group has more.
- Re-sort the same socks a new way, like big and small ('grandes y pequeños').
➕ Extension ideas
- Sort silverware into spoons and forks while putting away dishes.
- Make a sorting hunt: find three things that are rojo around the house.
