Objective: Child writes numerals 0 to 10 using a fun sensory medium.

🧺 Materials

  • zip bag
  • hair gel or ketchup
  • tape

📋 Instructions (parent)

  1. Squeeze hair gel or ketchup into a zip bag, push out the air, and seal it well.
  2. Tape the bag flat to the table so it becomes a squishy writing pad.
  3. Say a number in Spanish and have your child draw that numeral in the gel with a finger.
  4. Smooth the gel and repeat with a new number from 0 to 10.
  5. Let your child make a secret number for you to guess.

➕ Extension ideas

  • Write numbers up to 20 in the gel.
  • Trace numerals in flour or sugar spread on a tray.
